What customers say?

“ I came here because I saw someone eating a giant burrito and I needed to have one. The staff was super friendly, entrance was super easy to find and food came out very quickly. Definitely should add this to your stops in Warrensburg if you’re feeling like having Mexican. Soooo good! ”

“ You have to stop here! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Their menu has enough variety but is not overwhelming. Service was 10/10 and the staff was very friendly. We ate in and got a shrimp and chorizo special burrito and the birria quesadilla. The portions were huge and definitely matches their prices for quality. I cannot recommend enough and can't wait to go back and try the entire menu! ”

“ This place was incredible!! Small to the point menu with tacos burritos and quesadillas. Tacos served in sets of three, with several protein options. I tried the birria, pork, and chorizo. All were fantastic as were the chips and salsa. Friendly down to earth staff and super delicious food. Can't wait to go back. ”

“ Had an amazing time at the guac box. Nice and cozy place ran by a husband and wife. I forgot the name of the lady but she was very helpful. If you read this I really appreciate your service. She gave us so many local recommendations. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend. ”

“ How have I not made the trip to the Guac Box before now? I live 15 minutes away (more like a half hour with this weekend's car show traffic, but still), and I had my first meal there this weekend. Warrensburg seems to be undergoing a food renaissance. 2 excellent pizza places, the new barbecue restaurant, and this seriously amazing Mexican food establishment. We are starting to drive north more often instead of trying to decide which of Queensbury's chain options is the least unappealing. First, what a warm and friendly welcome we received! We loved the decor and how inviting it felt to spend an hour enjoying great food and relaxing. Drink options included a soda machine or bottles of Jarritos (Mandarin is my standard favorite). The menu is pretty extensive and usually includes a couple of specials of the day. Honestly, everything looks good, but with 2 of us eating, I knew that chips and queso with 2 entrees were all that we could manage (I should have brought more people!). Chips and queso were really good. I opted for the regular, as I am not a fan of chorizo, and I really appreciated the distraction while I waited for the rest of our food. Perfect consistency and a pretty large serving. I would have had extra to bring home, but we were out for the day. We selected the Crispy Cheesebirria Quesadillia and Carne Asada Steak Tacos. As soon as I had the first bite of a taco, I knew this was going to be good. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sauce and toppings tasted so fresh. I didn't want to get to the last bite and know it was over. Next, the quesadilla. Braised beef - soooo tender and delicious! I have never had anything quite like this and would definitely order it again. This entree also came with rice and beans. Sometimes, places make the sides seem like an afterthought. Not here, though. Rice was really, really good. And the beans may be the best I have had anywhere, even including ones I had in San Antonio. They are refried but seemed almost charro-style, which are my favorite. I could not resist trying dessert and opted for chocolate mousse, which was also a winner. Very light and very delicious. Highly, highly recommend trying this place out. ”

“ The food quality, seasoning and portion sizes were great. Privately owned, food made with personal recipes. Dined in, food served in or on "to go" boxes. No big deal, but something they may want to upgrade later. Birria is amazing. We will be back soon. ”

“ Great for kids. Flexible menu. There were coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals and suckers, which kept our kids happy so we could eat. Requested changes to the menu items were accommodated easily. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The veggie burrito was massive. ”

“ Had the carne asada taco. Three soft shells filled with cubed chili lime steak, cheese, cilantro and a bit of heat from jalapeños on a soft flour shell. Did not know I could have switched to soft corn shell. Would have preferred hard shell option but not offered. Side of salsa and flavored sour cream very small. Would have received a 5 star only the crispy cheeseberria quesadilla was a bit too crispy and blackened on the outside. Side of rice and beans not delivered but stated on menu as included. Came with a side of very hot au jus dip that melted the plastic cup it was served in. Both meals ordered without the pickled onions. This restaurant newly opened so chalking it up as a learning curve for the errors. ”
